Chapter 1: Participants' Safety

Click the button beside each article to propose how to elaborate on or specify these articles. Your proposal will be visible to other members, who can propose their texts as well. How do you think this article should be interpreted? What would help you, your colleagues and your clients to understand what this article means?

The current articles of the Code of Conduct were agreed upon in the Guild of Guides meetings of October 29, 2019. It consists of a chapter on participants (Ch1) and a chapter on Guides (Ch2). Chapter 1, Article 4 was added as a result of the Corona crisis, during the meeting on March 16, 2020.

The goal is to agree upon these explanations/specifications during a member meeting and then provide it upon request to anyone interested to know more about what we mean by each article. It will also support members in their ability to adhere to the CoC, because it clarifies and in some cases quantifies what is asked of us. Once agreed upon, the elaboration will also be used to help decide whether a member’s conduct breaches the code, providing corroboration for proposals for members to adjust their conduct or if they fail to do so, potentially face being banned.
